Note Painting© is an artistic image coded on the stave. Geometrical shape of the image is hidden in the system of symbols (“notes”) which enables reading and placing a painterly composition on the stave. It is possible to perform the encoded image on any quadrangular format – then the picture will get adjusted to the format and will accept its shape. If the picture isn’t performed it will exist only in the form of a painterly composition.
The principle of performing the picture is analogical to playing a piece of music from the score. Just like in music; either the creator and the performer are important. They are connected by the work of art coded in the form of notation. They are not limited by time or distance.
